Tastings

Our two-hour, six-pour tastings take place in our clients’ homes and are suitable for all tasting experience levels! The first 60-75 minutes is spent learning about wine, with content geared to your selected tasting theme (listed below); this is followed by 45-60 minutes spent tasting the wines together.

  • Up to 18 guests: $100/pp ($125 for custom) plus the cost of wine. Each course description includes wine price range; exact cost TBC 1+ week prior to event.

  • Please allow 30-45 mins for set-up and breakdown on either end of the event.

  • Perfect for casual white wine drinkers, this “Wine 101” style course provides an overarching view of the fundamentals of white wine. The tasting includes classic expressions of key varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Grigio, among others, from their most renowned regions.

  • This “Wine 101” course is an excellent fit for fans of both white and red. We’ll take a bird’s eye view of the wine industry and compare red & white winemaking. The tasting includes 3 whites and 3 reds, focusing on classic varietals including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon, among others.

  • Due to its uniqueness and variety, rosé is not typically included in classic tastings, so we designed this course specifically to satisfy all rosé lovers! We explore the niche that is rosé winemaking, providing an overview of how it’s made and its place within the wine industry. The tasting includes a diverse assortment of rosés from various regions, showcasing many varietal combinations!

  • This course showcases the essential varieties of sparkling wine, from Champagne to Prosecco to Franciacorta and more. We’ll talk about how sparkling wine is made and how this makes it different from still wine in both process and tasting.

  • If you’d like to explore something not listed here, we can design a unique course that caters both content and wine offerings specifically to your taste.   • If you love American wines, this is the tasting for you. We’ll explore America’s place in the wine world and taste some American classics, including a CA Chardonnay, an Oregon Pinot Noir, and a Napa Cab, among others.

  • The most quintessential wine region in the world, France’s classic wines could span many tastings! Here, we drill down to sample six of the best known examples of French wine and discuss the country’s significance to the wine world.   • For those who love Italian wines, we offer this tasting, which includes classics - such as Pinot Grigio, Nebbiolo, and Sangiovese - as well as lesser known and emerging varietals that punch well above their weight.   • An undervalued region and one of our personal favorites, Spain and Portugal offer zesty whites and bold reds that punch above their weight class. Tastings include Albariño and Rioja, among others. If you enjoy American wines and are looking for something different - or if you enjoy European wines but are looking for a more value-driven region - this tasting could be a great fit.

  • Another extreme value region, South America makes excellent wines, many our favorites. Learn about this region’s contributions to the wine world while sampling the classic varietals South America does best, such as Argentinian Malbec and Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon.   • This theme gives tasters a chance to see how region and climate impact a grape varietal and change the final style. The six wines come in three pairs. Each pair uses the same grape, but from very different regions; we’ll taste them side-by-side and walk through the differences in each and what drives their expression. The selection includes one white and two red varietals.
